National Geographic Traveler Magazine has sent one of their journalists, Andrew Evans, on a tour of the world. Subscribers can follow Andrew on twitter and keep up to date with his trip. The catch is, he never reveals his exact location and followers are encouraged to guess it. Ironically enough, as I'm only two months away from leaving the country, the first stop on Andrew's trip is in Australia. For the past ten days I have been following his tweets that have placed him in all corners of the country. I found today's memorable and so, I'll share it with you:
"Seems most Aussies categorize their land 3 ways: City, Country & Outback. You live in the 1st, you're from the 2nd, and you imagine the 3rd." --Andrew Evans, National Geographic Traveler Magazine

Little Tid Bits
Today I stumbled across these two facts:
1. Perth, Australia is 13 hours ahead of Central Time in the U.S.
2. Australia does not have garbage cans; they have rubbish bins.

An Australian Aboriginal Proverb
“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.”
